Intermodal Container Drayage

Whether you're importing or exporting our team is ready to meet your container transport needs! A well known and respected regional operator, Semper Trucking, Inc. maintains interchange agreements with all steamship lines and rail carriers, and has long-standing relationships with area customs house brokers.

Transloading & Squeeze Work

As an added service, Semper Trucking can arrange for the transloading of your freight from one trailer to another. Hourly 'Lumpe'r (man power) rates are based on current market rates and are subject to change. We can also provide Squeeze work for loading and unloading. Load rates are based on current market rates and are subject to change.

Truckload Drayage

We've got the means to transport your products by the truckload on-time and safely. Semper Trucking, Inc. actively maintains a 53' dry van trailer to accommodate the diverse shipping needs of our clients. A Common Carrier of General Commodities, Semper Trucking, Inc. will haul just about any non-hazardous, legal product.

Safety

At Semper Trucking, Inc. safety is not an option, but an obligation to our clients, their clients, our drivers, and the public. While we realize that there is no absolute guarantees, Semper Trucking continues to strive to maintain the highest level of safety attainable.
As the recipients of continued "Satisfactory" ratings of the California Highway Patrol's BIT program (Biennial Inspection of Terminals) since the program's establishment in 1991, Semper Trucking, has a proven record of driver and vehicle safety!

Driver Safety Program

Semper Trucking, Inc. has implemented the following measures when hiring new drivers and owner-operators to ensure the safety of your shipment and the lives of others:

All Drivers and Owner-Operators are required to pass a federally mandated pre-employment drug test.
All Drivers and Owner-Operators are required to be enrolled in federally mandated drug and alcohol consortium where they will be required to participate in a random drug and alcohol testing program.
All Drivers and Owner-Operators are required to pass a DMV approved medical exam.
All Drivers and Owner-Operators must have a clean driving record and a minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience.
All Drivers and Owner-Operators must have a minimum of 2 years experience hauling intermodal containers and thorough knowledge of the ports we service.
All Drivers and Owner-Operators must be enrolled in the DMV Motor Carrier Pull Notice program. (DMV will notify us with any changes to the driver's driving record)
All Drivers and Owner-Operators must be enrolled in the California Highway Patrol's BIT program. (Biennial Inspection of Terminals)

Vehicle Maintenance Program

Semper Trucking, Inc. has implemented the following measures of fleet maintenance in order to safely deliver your product on time and in one piece:

All vehicles, both owned and non-owned (Owner-Operators) are regularly maintained by certified mechanics while on and off the road.
All vehicles must meet the requirements set forth by the California Highway Patrol's BIT program.
All vehicles must meet the requirements set forth by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
All vehicles must meet the requirements set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Administration.
